Thank you for your feedback. I'm not sure if this is possible but I will pass it along to our product planning team for consideration.
Hello RB users !
I was wondering if I was the only one who would really love to be able to import/export beatgrids and share them into a sub-forum (like for MIDI mappings) ?
It's so time consuming that being able to split the workload between RB users would make us spend more time on the decks rather than burried into the technical stuff.
If you would find this useful, please, vote and reply ! :)

Don't think it would work technically as Long as you don't have the exact Same file, Not only just the same Song. But Same file size, bitrate, format Frame structur.
But I am not a technical expert.
lol ... this would only be possible for bit accurate Music files
@Frank : Unless I'm wrong, a beatgrid is just a timecode like what's used for movies' subtitles (if you leave apart the dialogue element).
So let's use that analogy (assuming it's working the same in RB)
You can use a subtitle on a different movie (aka different song or remix).
Subtitles are displayed but obviously, that won't "work" for you.
Now the same movie in SD or HD (aka different bitrate) doesn't require a different subtitle file.
Worst case scenario, you move the staring point of the subtitle to the left or to the right (aka reset first bar) if there is additional intro and the rest should be aligned... Maybe speed up or slow down subtitles a little overall the whole movie (aka tighten or widen overall space between bars).
In less than 2 minute, you could check and correct beatgrid of a popular song with an irregular BPM instead of wasting an hour. And spend your time only beatgriding rare tunes for which you couldn't find a beatgrid yet.
Makes sense ?
Years ago there was a post suggesting that the labels could distribute their songs "rekordbox ready", with an accurate beat grid already set. That is, in my point of view, the best way to handle this. And ease our workload even further ;) Don't think it will happen though...
Sure, that would be ideal and I wouldn't hesitate to pay for this kind of extra !!!
Until then, I'd prefer to be "in control" with a sharing feature than just waiting for a solution to just fall "from the sky". :)
@Alan.
actually checking / adjusting the beatgrid for a song don't take me too much time as long as the song hasn't a bad timing.
Generrally speaking, if there would a beatgrid for the particular song and you just need to adjust the first bar to match it for the entire song this would make sense.
I doubt that the Labels will incorporate the beatgrid into the songs.
Reasons for that could be:
- they would need to grid them too
- there is no common Format for the grid (normal, dynamic), the grids between the different Software are not compatible. That's why you need a tool like Rekordbuddy to Switch between Software.
I don't even think that DJ's would pay for this extra. My Music Collection is mainly from the 80ies and the 90ies -it was a huge effort to grid them and I am not finished with it. I doubt that Labels would offer such a Service for old Music. And for those new tracks I am adding the gridding doesn't take some time. Mostly the Analysis does a good Job.
Don't get me wrong - I would like it if it would exist but I don't have the confidence that it would happen in the future.
