My main concern is, I don't want any performance issues whilst playing. So don't want any lag when browsing my large collection and I want my tracks to load up quickly.......
Hello,
Just purchased a pair of XDJ-1000's and looking for a 256gb flash drive to gig with, which will hold my collection (currently around 180gb). I am in the U.K.
Some of the ones I'm considering are:
Corsair Voyager GTX:
Sandisk ultra:
lexar Jumpdrive S75:
Thanks in advance.

Hi.
I am using 2 256GB USB3 sticks without issues.
1x Patriot Supersonic MEGA 256GB
1x CnMemory Spaceloop XL 256GB
Both are USB3 devices while the Spaceloop seem to be faster than the Patriot.
My DB I am holding on the devices is about 25k Tracks.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply Frank. So, no lag at all when browsing the collection on your spaceloop? And tracks load fast?
David.
Yes - no lag at all. Neither loading tracks nor browsing....
I am pretty happy with it.
The only thing I was experiencing after lots of syncs with rekordbox that I thought it was slower than before. After some searching I did a defragmentation of the DB on the stick and were thinking it was recognisable faster after the defragmentation.
I didn't stopped the time but it is a subjective feeling....
Good to know Frank, thanks for the input. Was thinking about buying the Corsair Voyager GTX due to the high speeds advertised..... But now I might just opt for the Sandisk Ultra at around half the price....
Maybe you can share your experience when finally decided.
Could be interesting for others as well.
Will do Frank
