Opus Quad: No audio signal until complete restart, anybody else?

Hi all, I just had a frightening moment with my OQ, luckily at home. I turned it on, loaded tracks and started to play them. The waveforms were moving as usual but there was absolutely no audio signal, neither on the master nor on the headphone cues. I checked the faders, the channel trims, EQ, filters, master volume etc. The volume LEDs didn't show anything, neither on the channels nor on the master although two songs were playing.

Then I turned off the OQ, waited 30s and turned it on again. Reloaded the tracks and didn't change anything else and then the audio was working normally and the LEDs showed the signal.

Firmware 1.10. Unfortunately I didn't film a video which I would do if it happens again.

Has anybody else experienced this? Is this just a glitch or an indication that I need to have my OQ checked/serviced?

I also own an opus quad and I'm encountering this problem very frequently with version 6.8.4 rekordbox, the thing that makes me so angry is that they still haven't released a firmware update perhaps with streaming direct play for beatport and not for force you to connect the PC

I had this issue several times this week, sometimes a reboot does not fix.

Any news on fixing it?

Had it with friends xdj-xz as well as opus quad.

@slope game You mentioned that the audio came back after a complete restart, which could indicate a temporary software issue rather than a hardware malfunction. First, ensure you're running the latest firmware version. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs that cause these types of issues. If this happens again, try resetting the settings to see if it resolves the issue without a full restart.

@ google baseball Make sure you're using the most recent firmware version before anything else. Bugs that cause these kinds of issues are sometimes fixed in upgrades. To avoid a complete restart, consider resetting the settings if this happens again.

Hey everyone, anyone ever face a silent disco moment with their setup? I had a similar issue, everything visually fine, waveforms moving but no sound! Reminded me of gliding down a snowy slope in Snow Rider , all the visual cues but no feeling of the wind. Checked all the usual suspects - faders, trims, EQ, master volume. Nothing registering on the LEDs. Two tracks playing silently! Any ideas?

I don't use the opus with a mac v often, but was using apple music streaming last night on it and had the issue on channel 1 only.

I loaded a track to decks 2, 3 and 4 and played fine.

Next I toggled between loading a track from usb stick to deck 1 and then switched back to mac and it started the audio again.

Don't know if this was a fluke but might be worth a try if it happens again.

Certainly a better option than powering the opus off and on.

I never experienced the original problem from my first post ever again except for this one time.

@Brian: did you also check the effect button? I once accidentally cut off the master by hitting the effect button unknowingly with my jacket and it had an effect on the master channel. Since then I make sure to assign effect to an unused channel if not using effects knowingly.

Ugh, that no audio issue with the Opus Quad sounds super frustrating! Hope Pioneer DJ is listening and drops a firmware update soon. Maybe I should just stick to Play Sprunki for now and create some stress-free tunes.
