Have you tried removing the device from your system and verifying it's connecting properly through the device manager? If it appears there, it should then also appear as an audio device within rekordbox.

SeguiPLX 500 USB not detected in Rekordbox anymore...
As the title says Rekordbox will no longer detect my turntable with the latest version and the version previous to that. I have tried new leads even tried a fresh install of windows and nothing...Sometimes it will just max the audio signal indicators in the record tab but will not show that a USB is connected.
The unit it only just over a year old and hardly used at all, maybe ripped around 7 vinyl with it and then boxed it back up under my bed, it's pissed me off as it's only just outside of warranty, I wouldn't have minded if i'd of had some fair use out of it but I haven't. Like I said 7 vinyl rips in 12 months what's that around 40 mins of use?
Not happy.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure what you mean by remove it from the system? there was no windows driver install for the PLX 500 as it was plug and play so nothing to remove, also I did check device manager but nothing was showing up under the USB section. It's not a windows issue as that was eliminated with a fresh install.
Right ok after testing again yes it is showing up in device manager but still Rekordbox will not detect anything from it no audio signal no USB record option :/
I'm going to try an older version see how that pans out.
Even as a new install, I wanted to make sure the device was being detected, as that would help narrow things down (USB port, USB cable, PLX). Can you please post a screenshot of what it's identified as on the device list? And a shot of the properties pages please.
It shows as USB Composite Device
Can you see if anything is listed under the Sound devices for it?
The older versions don't work either, What I don't understand is nothing has changed since the last time I used it not a single thing so for it to suddenly stop working has me 100% stumped.
What do you mean "older versions" ?
Line (2-USB AUDIO CODEC)
Speakers (2-USB AUDIO CODEC)
Those are what show up after plugging it in otherwise it just shows Realtek High Definition Audio
Which version / build of Windows are you running?
Windows 10 Pro x64. I will check to see if my motherboard has a USB/AUDIO driver update pretty sure they are the latest though.
Which build of Win10?
Sorry the build is 17134
Now that you mention it Microsoft released an update pack a few weeks ago maybe that has something to do with it? It would explain why a fresh install hasn't worked as it would have auto updated to the latest build, I also recall Microsoft had issues with the *Spring Update* and had it on hold for a while. I can't revert to a previous build test it unless I format the system again and turn updates off.
I'll pop back with an update as to if it's the current windows build that's causing the issue.
After some really extensive testing I think it's an issue with Rekordbox running on the above build version of windows 10, I tested my PLX500 on a friends computer running windows 7 and it works? My hardware isn't at fault either as it's a new high end PC, the turntable is being detected by my system but it seems the issue is Rekordbox just doesn't know what to do with it. I have also tested multiple versions of Rekordbox all with the same problem.
As I said above it was working perfectly with windows 10 but out of no where it just stopped working, I made no system changes that I was aware of the only change made was windows releasing a big update. I have tried to revert to previous builds but I can't due to windows pushing this out to everyone, even downloading windows 10 from Microsoft comes with this build.
If anyone else could confirm this to be true? because if it isn't then... Yea no idea :/
Any update anyone? does this function work on the build posted above?
Never mind it seems to be an issue with the Realtek drivers and windows 10, windows see's the sound I can hear it too but somehow it will not record and it's not just a problem with Rekordbox as it won't work with Audacity either, I'm guessing the only way for me to backup vinyl now would be to use the XDJ-RX's USB record feature.
Out of interest has anyone else got issues with windows 10 build 17134? seems my issue only started once that was released.
The 1803 build of Win10 seems to be breaking a whole host of things. I'm passing this along to our product team to see if they have any recommendations.
@Lee > Our PLX team has asked if you could verify that the PLX-500 was selected as the recording input in the rekordbox preferences.
Sorry - I meant please verify that the PLX-500 is NOT set as the recording (input) device within the Windows sound preferences. if it is set as a default recording device in Windows, the issue you kindly reported may occur.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm away currently will check it out once I get back in a few days :)
@Lee > Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
If audio dropout or noise is heard in the recording of the songs played on PLX-500 using rekordbox ver 5.3.0, please follow the steps below.
Before doing so, please close rekordbox.
*The steps below are based on Windows 10, but it are also applicable to Windows 7.
① Remove the USB cable connecting PLX-500 and your computer.
② Open [Control Panel]>[Hardware and sound]>[Sound].
③ From the [Sound] tab, select the device selected as [Default Device] and click [Properties].
④ From [Advanced]>[Default Format], check the sample rate in 「XXXXX Hz」 and close the [Properties] window.
[48000 Hz] is shown in the above window as an example.
⑤ Plug the USB cable back to your computer and connect it to PLX-500.
⑥ From [Sound] window >[Recording], select [Line USB AUDIO CODEC] and click [Properties].
⑦ Click [Advanced]>[Default Format] and select the same sample rate value [XXXXX Hz] as you checked in the above ④. Then, click [OK] and close the window.
Please make sure not to select anything which includes [1 channel].
⑧ Close the [Sound] window and record the playback on rekordbox ver 5.3.0.
Thanks for the reply and sorry I didn't get back sooner.
I have followed the above with a fine comb but still no cigar :/ no change at all.
It used to work flawless but sadly it doesn't work at all now, the only way I can record is via the XDJ-RX.
At least It works that way as I've lost all hope going the Rekordbox route.
I appreciate your time though :)
I had a similar problem. i could not hear the playback of recorded tracks. The issue U have and my issue were fixed this way for me. In rekordbox go to FILE-preferences-AUDIO-Audio. For me to hear playback I click the dropdown and select my computer speakers. In that same dropdown U can select the USB device U have hooked up. FOR me, I go thru those steps every time for to hear what I recorded. Most times it will default back to USB to continue recording.
@Lee > Are you still having this issue? Have you tried the fix @emanual outlined above?
Funnily enough this weekend just gone I was having a vinyl day and decided to plug the table in and test it, it worked perfectly without touching anything. Now this is great and all but it doesn't help anything as I don't really know what caused it, My only guess is that I had some funky system driver issue that was fixed with an update maybe? I'm not sure, But for now it's working :)
Cheers guys.
Awesome - thanks for writing back. Enjoy. :)
