Djm Nexus2 Driver for Mojave

Hi Pioneer. I can not download the drivers for DJm900 Nexus 2 on the newest Mac OS Mojave. The prompt says: "Failure the driver can not be used because it's os 10.11 or late"r. It's pretty critical cause I use the mixer as a controller - everything else works as supposed. Do you have a link for that?

Or better a solution:-)

The best,

Kristian.

Hey thanks. I already tried that, the problem is that I don't even get the chance to bypass the drive security. I get this:

@Furze > The SRT automatically unlocks those features through the hardware; the NXS2 requires the club kit and/or DVS packs within Serato.

It is the same for me here. Pionneer DJM Nexus 2 doesn't work with Traktor 3 and macOS Mojave. The driver has not been updated since 2016!!!

I have this issue since the beginning of Mojave and nothing has been done by Pioneer. Please, update your driver and firmware if needed, as it is the less you can do.

I paid a mint for a Nexus 2 that doesn't work the way it should!

And your previous answer is just a joke as nothing change!!!

@Roland > It hasn't needed to change - the compatibility with Mojave was verified for that version - I use it myself without issue on 10.14.5.

For sure it doesn't work, but instead of Pioneer trying to help you out, the only thing that comes is that Pulse is using the Nexus 2 without issue!!! Come on!!!

Thank you for not helping... Maybe it should have cost me 3000€ for you to try to help out a customer. 2000€ wasn't expensive enough!

Can't you try to know what is wrong with your hardware and firmware.

Pioneer support service, you are a big joke!

Hello my Friend. I actually did get it to work. It took me some time and research. After installing the drivers you have 1 extra step. Ill post a picture for MAC.

Pulse is totally awesome. He has been a tremendous help to myself and many others on this forum over the years.

I hope this fix will help you with Mojave and the drivers. I found this on Motu..

It's not Pioneer. Its Apples new security measures:)

@Roland > Follow these steps:

  1. Disconnect the DJM-900NXS2.
  2. Download the driver.
  3. Open the driver package and run the uninstaller file.
  4. Reboot your computer.
  5. Open the driver package and run the driver installation file.
  6. After the installation has completed, give the drivers permission.
  7. Reboot your computer.
  8. Connect the DJM and test as normal.

Thanks

If you ever find a solution for this @snake man, let a comment in here because it has been so frustrating so far and all solutions in this post do NOT work so far.

I guess we have to wait for a real update.

Try these steps:

  1. Unplug the USB from the DJM.
  2. Go to your Applications and open the Utilities folder, launch the Terminal app
  3. Type (or copy/paste) the following command:
    sudo kextcache --clear-staging
  4. You will need to enter your Mac user password (or just hit enter if you don't have a password); it will not show any characters onscreen as you type, press return when you are done and the process will run.
  5. Download the driver if you don't still have the driver package.
  6. Open the driver package and run the uninstaller file.
  7. Reboot your computer.
  8. Open the driver package and run the driver installation file.
  9. After the installation has completed, give the drivers permission; this may not have appeared previously, but as the kext (driver extension) cache has been cleared, the security prompt should now appear - click the button to allow the drivers through the security.

Thank you for your answer,

I tried now all this process severals time and still not appeared the "allow" button, I've tried also Batchmode to allow permissions, still same problems.

I may explain anyway my problems in case it's not the "allow" button problem.

I've Mac book pro 2017, DJM-900 nexus 2, Traktor 3 with Traktor Kontrol X1

When I connect the mixer , Traktor see it , the mixer works some how but not correctly, for example: on my mixer I've this issues :

-the channel 1 fader stop and play if i moove it up and make some crackling noise

-then if i moove up the chanel 2, it's cut the sound of the channel 1

-If I use channel 3 and 4 it's works fine but on my X1 controller the effects are not working anymore, works on channels 1 and 2

for the rest of the features looks like it's works normal.

I've tried in another mixer DJM900 nexus 2, there is others issues

- channel 2 and 4  works but no effects on my X1

-if I moove the color button of the channel 3, it cut the sound of the channel 2.

So, I'll try again on another mixer tomorrow to see what's happen but this all very strange on different mixers I had different issues but issues anyway.

Will be great if you have a solution for this or can be the "allow" button?

Thanks

A real update is needed... For the price of the nexus2 mixer, the fact that nothing is working correctly is a shame for Pioneer.

So I'm back after severals try, i've tried on a third nexus 2 mixer, same issues, I finally tried with my old computer with Mac OS 10.8 Lion and Traktor 2 , I've download the drivers and works pefectly at the first try, so the problem comes from Mac OS Mojave, can you confirm that there is a way that's works with Mojave or need to wait for an update?

I can tell you that I'm running Mojave and these drivers work just fine:

Can you please open the System Information app, scroll down to Software > Disabled Software and tell me what's listed on the right?
