Ableton Link Request

I would only use the Ableton Link feature to send midi clock tempo to control my lightshows via Showxpress.  Can (A slave mode) be added where once Ableton link is activated... the midi clock tempo functions off the master deck output?  Of course we would need the pitch faders on hardware to control the link function as well but instead of changing the Master/Beat Sync to "Link"... leave the screen/controls unchanged in this mode.
