Have to ask if the firmware is up to date? Yes the gain can assist in getting the correct BPM value, will look into this deeper and get back with a better answer for you.

DJM S11 Auto BPM Detecting problem playing vinyls
Hi,
My Setup DJM S11 With 2 Turntables, playing real vinyls.
Auto BPM Detecting is not working properly, and if its work its not stable and start flashing...
using Shift+Tap To auto detect but its flashing and stays on the last value it had. somtiems after long time (more than a minute it been able to lock on the vinyl BPM)
Auto BPM is a Basic featured and very nesessary to have.
most of the time its flashing and not been able to lock on the bpm.
I have tried to turn the Trim Knob over 12 o'clock as suggested in one post but its still not stable.
of course my crossfader is on the channel that playes.
It is very sad that unit that is so pricy and cost 2,000$ has such a problem.!!!!
anybody here hsas a solution please?

Yes of course i have it firmwareup to date with 1.03
i can take the gain knob all the way to the max but still dond get a BPM detection, its still flashing with its old value, its just can't lock on it.
i can change vinyl and suddenly it CAN lock in a few seconds and shows BPM
my guess is somthing in mechanism of the mixer Auto BPM Detaction is faulty or not working correctly, its realy a basic feature and very sad to discover it.

what is going on here? why is dis problem not solved yet? I sold my s9 to get the s11 and now, this problem with the lack of the right bpm is horrible. I spent today mixing about 60min and it all the times showed me 120bpm. but I was spinning on 99bpm.
What is going on Pioneer? When do we get a new update of the firmware. the 1.03. is older than 1.5 year...
