high pitch tone when recording in rekordbox please help

i do my mixes fine but when i play the file back theres no music just a high pitched tone can someone help with this , i have the plx500 and the djm250 mk2

Check the DJM's utility app; you want to use the REC OUT from 5/6:

Make sure rekordbox matches the source selection for the recording input.

Okay, that's set correctly; are the channel input selectors set to USB and not Phono?
