PLX-1000 platter stopped spinning

This appears to be a common issue but my platter stopped spinning all of a sudden and will no longer rotate although all lights are operable. The unit is less than a year old and only been used at home occasionally. Is there something else I can do to reset it possibly? I assumed it was a quality product and I hate to have to pay to repair it after minimal use. Very frustrating.
