When Pioneer Released the T1 , it was just before Traktor 2.0 and didn't have any hardware functionality for samples. Then NI Released the S4 with 2.0 which had 8 (4 on each side) buttons for samples. Pioneer were a bit PO'd with this so they started a lawsuit (unconfirmed) and made a new mapping for the T1 which is found on the T1s product page on the pinoneer website, which allows users to use the T1 to trigger upto 8 samples from the controller as well as record directly samples from tracks (like the S4). Please not these are the SAMPLE Decks.
