Problems with 128GB flash drives on CDJ 2000NXS2

I arrived at the club this last weekend with two SanDisk flash drives, a 32GB and 128GB with my music. Here's the exact model of the flash drive: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015CH1JIW/ref=dp_iou_view_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both were formatted FAT-32 and had just been updated from my rekordbox. When I put the 128GB into the CDJs, nothing happened. I couldn't get it to recognize it. When I put the 32GB in it immediately recognized it and worked fine.

The only difference between these two flash drives was the size. I'm also able to play just fine off the 128GB drive at home on my XDJ RX2.

Any idea why this might have happened? Is this a known issue?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Andrew,

It's certainly possible that the memory manager chipset of the 128GB model has a conflict with the host chipset of the CDJ, but not the XDJ-RX2 - unfortunately there is no guarantee that every drive will work with every player.

That drive is not exactly what I'd consider a "high performance" USB drive, I would recommend you take a look at the SanDisk Extreme Pro USB 3.0; they've been replaced by the 3.1 models, but the 3.0 has been pretty flawless in testing with a variety of players.
