Toraiz with Ableton

Having a hard time to find any kind of guideline to connect the Toraiz to Ableton any support or links would be wonderful ;

Hope you're well.

To setup the TORAIZ SP-16 with Ableton...

1. Turn on your TORAIZ SP-16.
2. Enter the UTILITY menu and change MIDI I/F SELECT to "USB MIDI".
3. Then, change SYNC SOURCE SELECT to "MIDI".
4. Start Ableton Live.
5. Go Ableton preferences and set MIDI OUT to track:ON, sync:OFF, remote:OFF.
6. Play Ableton by arrangement view.
7. You will be able to hear the sound from SP-16.
8. Set the audio input tracks in Ableton Live for recording. Hope you have a great Christmas and New Year as well! Best regards, Pioneer DJ Support

There is another way/workaround if you just want to connect ableton and toraiz via LINK if you have osx/ios devices (haven't tried a pc)

You need a couple things to get started. If you have an iphone look for an app called 'link to midi' (i'm not endorsed).

Connect your iphone to your toraiz using a lightening to usb adapter.

In the toraiz settings change sync source select > midi

Midi I/F select > usb midi.

Run iphone app and open ableton. Make sure they are both on the same network.

Turn on LINK in ableton and the iphone and bam.

Toraiz is now synced via LINK to your iphone which is connected to your toraiz.

Hi, I've just gone through all of these steps but I'm still not getting any audio signal in ableton. Will this work with just a USB cable connection or will the Midi Out also need to be connected? Thanks

Hi,

I just bought this too and have updated to the latest firmware.

I tried to follow these instructions but they seem to be outdated from number 2 onwards (no midi I/F select).

I can't get it to play in ableton via USB either.

Any help would be appreciated.
