Toraiz VS MPC live, Pioneer please don't let us down!

I know there is 2 similar posts already but i want to add a new one to increase the pressure on you guys(Pioneer) and to emphasize how important this is.I got the Toraiz in November and i do love it but now with the MPC live out we need you guys to step up and implement some basic missing features. PLEASE do not make me regret a $1500 purchase, i had an Octatrack...very powerful but i hate it the UI. I had MPC and it was ok...now the Toraiz is soo much better to work with but please please just update some of the features already requested by so many users and you will have a group of faithful customers.

Thank you

David

I totally agree. Without a major upgrade to the Toraiz firmware it's looking like there will be no choice but to go the MPC Live route in my opinion. It's just offers so many more basic features that the Toraiz is currently missing.

It's basically a give and take situation. Both are extremely easy to use & one has WAY more features which lend to ease of use / streamlining my process. + I can sell my Toraiz (even at a slight loss) and basically have the MPC Live covered.

I'm really hoping Pioneer will upgrade the Toraiz into the beast it could truly be though. I don't want to have to jump ship.

Calm down people.

So far we are only seeing spec sheet and fancy videos.
In my experience spec sheets do not always represent wonderfulness in real world.

It's Akai pro which is Numark, and not Akai. They are different.
I consider Akai pro has been far behind of NI/Machine with its current MPC Software/controller combo.
Then running MPC 2.0 on standalone units will all the sudden bring them back to the top ?
Possibly yes but we should wait and see.

Having said the above, from the beginning Toraiz and MPC were obviously different.
If you have bought Toraiz just because there were no standalone MPC, sorry for the money you spent but here the time has come.

Otherwise, I can still trust Toraiz has a lot of its own beauties and Pioneer gents are surely watching this forum to respond.
Just wish that the emergence of new MPCs will pull up the standards of Toraiz in future firm updates.

Cheers.

Pioneer need to drop the price of toraiz to below £1000. Zero innovation in the software, just playing catchup. Ridiculous that it's priced over the mpc and octatrck.

They should rather address the customers here on this forum and develop a robust V2 for the 32 Sec Professional sampler. I am an early adopter so a price drop takes me no where .

Pioneer DJ should speak for themselves but the following may actually be the most realistic way of looking at Pioneer DJ, the new Toriaz, and Akai's new standalone samplers:

1 - The Toriaz was never designed to compete with a MPC.

2 - The Toriaz is a new standalone product designed to add sampling for their DJ customer base.

3 - Most important, the Toriaz primary customer base is the DJ.

This is just my perception. PIONEER DJ, WOULD YOU PLEASE STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND BRING OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION TO THIS SUBJECT?

I also pre-ordered the Toraiz before release date so dropping price will only make me feel worse than i already do,what they need is to hurry with them updates and fix the bugs, sometimes the pads won't respond when touched while playing a track like if it lags or something.

The slow pad response you are describing is called "latency". It can usually be fixed via software update.
