Further to this played for several hours yesterday and no audio quality issues as I never engaged the sync button.
clearly this feature is floored
Hope others can corroborate my findings, I have used CDJ's for years and also Rekordbox however recent firmware upgrades to the hardware (currently on 1.70) the sync function is totally unusable.
I generally mix without sync on but posting this due to the fact that it seems flawed when activated. Needless to say all tracks have been analysed within rekordbox, beatgrid adjusted prior to play. I'm convinced that earlier firmwares the issues weren't as bad - anyone else encountered this?
Additionally when I deactivate sync or start using the jog wheels to adjust whilst still activated I'm also observing a general decline in audio quality - master tempo is on.
anyone else comment on having similar issues?

Further to this I did some more testing yesterday and managed to capture just how bad the sync isn with CDJ2000NXS2 latest firmware 1.71 / Rekordbox.
I hope this is clear in the attached video - so I have decks 2 & 3 synced no problems and just looping - locked tight. I then bring in deck 1 and the screen shot shows the beat grid has been analysed and adjusted and when brought in it is way way too fast which you see I then pull back to correct. you could respond by saying that I might not have beat grid the track - I can assure I have and the level of it being way off is not what you see on the screen.
Please respond to this post Pulse etc as this is clearly a big issue with the current configuration.

Blimey this forum has gone down the pan - not a single mods response :-(
There were some users reporting sync issues within 1.71 (which our team is currently investigating), but 1.70 was generally stable. Can you confirm which version you're using?
Thanks for responding Pulse, i'm now using 1.71 but i'd say 1.70 carried similar issues.
for info it feels like the incoming tracks beat grid is always a millisecond too fast so in order to lock you have to pull the jog wheel back slightly. Generally the more you do this the worse the sync becomes. unrelated I deleted my Sandisk Extreme 32GB USB drive and reloaded playlists and it seemed to be a bit more solid but the longer you go into your set and make minor adjustments the more the sync becomes unreliable. when i took the video I had been playing for a couple of hours or so.
I'm going to test just using the pro dj link to see if this is any more reliable but in summary I think the problems start by constantly turning sync off and on and by making manual adjustments when sync is applied.
It's definitely not right and was much better about a year or so back. I do love however the beat jump feature that works superbly
