If you can catch it on video, that would be spectacular, otherwise trying to get the specifics passed along to the engineers would only result in questions that may not help discover the cause of the issue.
so Ive had my purchase for a little less than a month or so. Basically everything works great except for one major issue. For some reason when playing off the laptop connected to the xdj-rx2 something seems to make it crash....it doesnt always happen but when it does it sucks....My laptop is fairly new and this is my first pioneer product owned. I dont know why it crashes, it runs great when connected with no lag or delay at all what so ever, but for some apparent random reason when im DJing with the system it will make a high pitch noise for about a second or two and then everything halts. Last time it happened I just pressed the cue button for one of the channels on the mixer and it happened. All in all its crashed about 3-5 times in a 2-3 week span. Thank god I haven't used it during the club or this would've been a disaster... I have to disconnect and reconnect and everything seems to working back to normal. Im fairly new to DJing with a controller but have been around for some time with vinyl and CDJs so I know my way around the system but can someone help or give me some troubleshooting tips on this issue?
Im using a Asus Q304UAk for laptop lmk if you need any further specs or questions

Ok i will record a video next time amd post
Hey,
I have same problem. The high pitch sound more then the total crash.
I have my XDJ-RX2 for about a month now. The high pitch sound comes about 1 hour of playing and recording. It comes in the middle of a track (not touching the controller at all).
Had it ones pressing the Flanger button on the PAD FX.
Twice i had a total freeze. Those happend not touching the controller at all.
I tried enlarging buffer, but that didn't help.
Update:
I just did another test. Don't know if this is the solution, but did a recording of 1 hour again with no high pitch sound nore crash.
1. before I started, I pulled the power cable and powered on the XDJ-RX2 so all the juice left in it could run out. When all lights whent out, I powered off again and replugged power cable.
2. I noticed in preference (rekordbox) that the Audio was still on Windows sound (Laptop soundcard). I changed that to XDJ-RX2.
Now I don't know what of the above solved it for this hour play.
@Arthur Maybe you can try one of the above and see what happens on yours.
Update:
Done a set (1 hour) today in stand alone mode. No problems at all.
Problem is in the recordbox or laptop.
Cheers
I would recommend trying to replicate the previous setup if you're trying to make it happen again, but knowing it hasn't happened with the laptop out of the equation does help narrow things down.
@Pulse, that was the goal. Today I tested again with laptop.
Bufferformat at 1408, 100% bug free. :D
Will do another test tomorrow with same settings, to see if those setting really are good for my setup.
Cheers
Thanks Fon-z. What's the spec of the laptop you're using?
Specs:
MSI
Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz
16 GB RAM
Running in 64 bit (Windows 10)
Test today:
Few remarks,
At 15min play time I had a high pitch sound, directly followed by a hitch.
Could not hear it on master out tho (headphone on). At playback of the recording i hear notting tho. :)
I also noticed that the bufferformat is at 1920 when connected to the XDJ-RX2 and greyed out. Befor I reported bufferformat at 1408, but that was without connection to the controller.
So far so good.
The buffer size 1920 is what I set before in the ASIO settings window.
