wow really? i would think they would carry the search enhancement over to all the new players, especially ones that compare their screen and features to the NXS2. Guess they forgot about it, lol
Hopefully Pioneer changes this in a future FW update.
I am disappointed with the new controller. Very excited to have picked it up, but hopefully you will fix this one thing with it. I already own the CDJ Nexus 2 and you fixed the search feature. I merely bought this controller to use the awesome search feature as the CDJ.
To break it down I can't search the same as I can in the CDJ. It needs to be the exact title. I can't put in artist or search lets say for a song for example... Man in the mirror by MJ. It has to be exact... I just can't right Man Mirror. Also it seems to be a little slow... I can't type it fast. It doesn't seem to catch up. (hopefully I explained this well enough) If not I hope others jump on as well.
I know this is a new product... I hope you fix the glitch in this product like you did with the CDJ Nexus 2.

Yes... I know they updated the NXS2. I hope they fix this bug as myself and 3 other friends purchased these controllers and all feel the same way. I am hopeful they fix the issue.
I've noticed this too and it's very frustrating ..
Yea. I have a few friends that won't buy this controller until they fix that bug. We all work in Mobile work in NYC and if we have smaller events we come in with this controller. THey have the RX1 but will not upgrade until they find out that they fixed this. We all own the NEXUS system for larger events, but we like to roll into a smaller event with this controller. PLEASE FIX THIS PIONEER. You did it with NXS2... LETS GOOOO!!!
This has been brought to the attention of the engineering team. We will update you here with any information we receive. Thank you for your patience.
Great, thank you Mark!
Any updates on this issue?
Sorry, no updates yet.
Our engineers have responded that the search functionality of the XDJ-RX2 is identical to that of the CDJ-2000NXS2 and have provided these images to show their search.
CDJ-2000NXS2
XDJ-RX2
They have asked if you could provide a video to demonstrate what you mean by "slow typing," and if you could also upload your database through the ticket I've just included you on. You can get there through the link that should have been emailed, or by clicking here.
Maybe a bug then Pulse because I tried this too when I tested
First I typed a word fast like "man" and nothing showed up, I had to then tap "M", wait a second for words to populate and then complete by typing "an"
If I tried to search the way you did above in the pics I got nothing
unfortunately I do not own a unit so I can't sent video, maybe this michael riker guy can above
Could be the speed is related to the type of USB drive used as well...
the one I tested was also linked from a laptop if that matters at all to the engineers, I tried both
also I guess theres a limit to tracks on the RX2 vs NXS2? I plugged in my usb SSD , 40k tracks, works perfect in the 2000NXS2 but failed with an E error code and never read the database on my drive
I don't believe the the RX2 and NXS2 are the same, the screen may be same size but the hardware behind the screen will be different. The NXS2 will cope with searching through larger databases much better than the RX2.
hey pulse, I finally got to my friend mikes house to record a video
as you can see in the video, we are inked via USB from a laptop, we go to search and there are 2 issues
1. we cannot search like you have above, we type "back pitbul" nothing shows up as it should like you can see we have a song called back in time - pitbull
2. if you type fast nothing shows up, I have to type "L", wait a second for tracks to appear and then I can finish typing OVE for LOVE
