Yes, you can use the XDJ-1000s as soundcards. For macOS you need to use the CDJ/XDJ Aggregator tool to combine them into one soundcard. Then go to Preferences > Audio in Rekordbox DJ, set Mixer Mode to External and assign the Output channels.

フォローするXDJ1000 MKII (x2) plus DJM700 - Is rekordbox dj possible?
Hi all,
Recently bought the DDJXP1 and am loving it. Currently it is connected in my setup to one of my decks using the usb port. However, not all functions of the DDJXP1 are available under this setup.
So, I know to utilise the unit to the fullest I need to hook up with my laptop and run Rekordbox DJ (A serial code came with the unit so no problems there). My laptop meets the criteria but I am clueless as to how to connect everything up. I have a horrible feeling that it is not possible as I am using an old mixer (DJM700).
Could someone let me know if my system can be connected to a laptop and therefore control rekordbox dj or if indeed I am out of luck due to my mixer.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that folks, but Mark, that guide is for Rekordbox performance mode. I am looking to use Rekordbox DJ. If connections are the same, then cool. Pretty sure my laptop has two USB ports. I just skimmed the pdf but I imagine the XDJ's connect via the port at the back as opposed to the ports on top.
Rekordbox performance mode is Rekordbox DJ.
Yes, performance mode is Rekordbox DJ.
Yes, use the USB ports on the rear of the XDJ. You can use a powered USB hub in order to have the ability to connect both XDJs and the XP1 at the same time.
Doh! Oh well, that's good. One last thing, so the XP1 needs to be connected to the laptop too? Not just attached to the XDJ as it is now? Laptop only has 2 USB slots so may need the powered hub then. Didn't really want to spend even more money but there you go.
You will have more access to the full features of the XP1 by connecting it to your computer and using it to control rekordbox dj as opposed to using it to control the XDJ.
Aah I see. Oh well, best go looking for a powered USB hub then. Thanks for all your help peeps.
One more query regarding this. Does the USB hub have to be mains powered? Or can I just use one of those extensions which plug into your pc to give you extra slots?
Thanks
I have found the answer to my question via a bit of googling. Will leave it in here in case it helps anyone. Peripherals attached to a USB hub which don't have their own power source will require a mains powered USB hub. Peripherals which have their own power source don't. Therefore the XDJ's can connect to a USB hub which is simply attached to the laptop. The DDJXP1 however has no mains power so this needs to connect directly to the laptop.
