Rekordbox 5 - search playlists

I have about 200+ playlists all for different occasions, would it be able to add a search bar below "Playlists" in the left sidebar? It gets kind of hard scrolling through them all searching for the correct playlist.

What exactly are you looking for -- the playlist name itself or a song within the playlists?

The playlist name itself - it' would be good when you have a naming system for your playlists to be able to search them by name :)

Currently, if you set the focus to the left tree and type any letter, it will jump to the first section or playlist starting with that letter. Press it again to move to the next one. It's not the search you're looking for (as typing the second letter makes it jump to the first item starting with THAT letter), but it could be a bit of a work-around as this suggestion is in consideration.

Hi,

unfortunately in RB6, this only works in Export mode but not in Performance mode.

In Performance mode, this does work in the Category Filter window, except it works a bit different..even better!  For example, if the Category Filter is open and in focus, if the Genre column is selected(works in Artist and Album column as well) you can type the first letter of a Genre and it will jump to that Genre, but lets say you have hip hop and house ect... instead of typing "h"to cycle through all the h's, you can type the first two letters of a Genre  "hi" for hip hop or "ho" for house, saves multiple entrees if there's multiple names that begin with the same letter. (TIP: if you have multiple names with the same letters like hip hop 90s, hip hop 2k, hip hop 80s, typing "hi" would jump to the first 'hip hop" on the list, so I simply make up a two letter "code" in front of the name     "h9" hip hop 90s ect...)

In a playlist scenario, in some situations it would be faster than a search feature. The search playlist would be great but it would take a couple of extra key strokes. 1. Cntrl + F,   2. type name,   3. esc (to clear search)  4. tab to exit search window  vs   1. playlist in focus  2. type first or first two letters  jumps to playlist. Getting in and out and clearing the search window would slow you down, but it can be useful for specific searches.

Typing the first letter or first two letters to jump to a name is a standard mac feature for the Finder window for example.

My wish is to have this work in ALL windows and Columns that's in focus.

Thanks!
