Hi, I have the exact same issue after updating to rekordbox 6.6.9. Please provide a fix for this. Thank you
Hi, i have the creative plan running over my personal Dropbox account on 2 PCs (MacBook PC A and Windows PC B).
All my files are saved as Dropbox/path-to-file/file.wav so both PCs can always find the files under "Dropbox/" path.
After the upgrade to 6.6.9, every new music file I add to the collection, is saved to the database with the local path (example: /User/ name1/Dropbox/path-to-file/file.wav).
This is a problem since the local path is not visible for the other PC, then the file can't be synced.
If I select the option "Upload track", then it's copied/moved to the path "/Dropbox/rekordbox/contents_xxxxxx/path-to-file/file.wav"
Please, can you help me to restore the setting, so, when importing new music files to the collection the file path is the relative to the Dropbox folder instead of the absolute path nor the rekordbox contents folder?

@Christopher, I've been working very hard on this to try to fix it and found out that the error is shared between Rekordbox and the new version of Dropbox for MacOS.
After updating Rekordbox and Dropbox, the Dropbox shared folder path changed to "/User/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/". First of all, the "/User/Library/" folder is not visible by default, so you need to change the view permissions on it so Rekordbox can start to see it from Explorer section.
Since Rekordbox doesn't read the Dropbox path automatically, you have to tell Rekordbox that the location where it must search for file is "/User/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/" (this setting is under Preferences >> Advanced >> Database >> Auto Relocate Search Folders >> Specified user folder) .
You should also change the Explorer path from which you add your new tracks to the collection. If you add them from "/User/Dropbox/" (it's a shortcut) you will get a problem sice Rekorbox doesn't know how to interpret this shortcut. You should always add new tracks from "/User/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/" to Rekordbox.
Hi Eduardo, thank you for looking into this and following up. Just a few clarifications to the above:
1) I am running on Windows, but have exact same issue as the previous post.
2) I have tried all of what you have mentioned already, nothing works.
3) I also raised a support ticket and the feedback was: 'According to the engineering team, rekordbox 6.6.9 has some locating issue with tracks uploaded to Dropbox. Please try the previous version of rekordbox 6.6.8.'.
I guess for now that is all that's left. Hopefully there will be a fix soon. Thx
@Christopher In addition to this issue (and as you said) I have problems with the paths. When moving a track, the relocate or auto relocate function finds the track but doesn't change the path stored in the database.
The only solution I have found is to remove the tracks from the collection and re-register them, losing all (analysis, memory/hot cues, playlist and position, etc).
This happens to me in MacOS and in Windows 10 (synced) with versions 6.6.9 and 6.6.10.
If it happens again I will try to downgrade to version 6.6.8.
Thank you for your comment.
