OFF-PIONEER TOPIC: Stanton STR8-150 or used Technics sl 1210 mk2

Sorry to interrupt you with this topic, but i have decided to post this on the pioneer dj forum because is see a lot of activity here. IF THIS TOPIC IS UNAPPROPRIATE FOR THIS TYPE OF FORUM, FEEL FREE TO DELETE IT !

As you may have noticed, the old technics sl 1210 mk2 are pretty hard to get these days since they stopped producing them(at least i think it is like that). Anyway in my country the only option is to buy used technics or the new stantons(also recommended as most similar in quality to technics by a friend ). 

So, my questions:

• Is it better to search for the technics or do you recommend the new stanton's ?
• Are there any other producers who make better turntables than stanton, or even better than technics? 

I'd appreciate any of your advices !
