Afraid not, they are two completely different units, if you want CD playback with an SEP-C1 you need the base unit which makes it an MEP-7000.

[SOLVED] SEP-C1 controlling the old CMX 5000 CD units
Can Pioneer SEP-C1 controlling the old CMX 5000 CD units? I am using the controller with Serato Scratch Live and I would like to use also my old CMX unit for audio CD playback. Thank you

I, also, allready have a MEP-7000 too, but I want to buy another 2 SEP-C1, for 2 different dj mixers and mount it along with the CD units of my old CMXs. The command cable looks the same (MEP & CMX), but I dont know if the internal wiring is the same for compatibility, and I am affraid to make some experiments with my hardware.

The two connectors are different, the two are in no way compatible, I wouldn't even think of attempting wiring one to the other.
