USB-MIDI Control Mode is now displayed as a DJ player in the Link Status Panel.

What is USB-MIDI Control Mode

When checking the beatgrid one of the most common actions is zooming in and zooming out. When doing this with the + and - button this is time consuming.

It would be nice if we could to that with either the scroll wheel on the mouse, or zoom in the same way as Ableton.

As workaround I've currently assigned the + and - key on my keyboard, but that is still not ideal.

Which could use some additional bandwidth. > 30 KB/sec isn't really fast. And I don't believe that it is because a lot of people are downloading the application because of the fresh release, since the downloads have been slow since the first released version.

Reading a 32gb sdhc card is still painfully slow to read, scroll down and navigate. The original load time with early rekordbox versions was far faster for bigger cards and was pretty good and acceptable! Until a later update which apparently changed how the export devices were loaded/read. It may be better now for other storage devices but for this larger sd card it is terrible.

Seriously, Is this to be addressed, or swept under the carpet - As its probably not important enough as few users use such large sd cards?

On the up side, a few more useful industry standard additions to the software in this update!

This is v frustrating given it worked far better with early 'simplistic'  versions of the software

The option to adjust the beat grid from a specific point on forward and thus have "multiple" beatgrids in one track with tempo variations works like a charm. Not sure how this translates yet to the players or what the result is during mixing, but so far good. 

just remembered that RB checks for updates automatically so will update when i get home!

So far so good, I will test this Rekordbox version tonight when doing a gig.

In addition to my post above I concluded a few things:

• The export speed has been improved!
  
• The whole search function is soo much better know

After some work wit 1.5 I realise a quite important thing is still not added.. 

• Rate tracks in collection/playlist mode, so when you have a nice overview of your tracks you shoud be able to simply rate your tracks by clicking on a certain number of stars, now you have to do this via the info pane and that's just unusable and takes op quite some time..

Overall I love this update

I will point out that the 1.5 version has been in its final stages for the last month or so, and any problems discovered / reported since then are possibly not corrected with this release.  Other looming issues (such as complaints of slow transfer times) may still be under investigation or slated for update in later releases.

YAY! Fast searching in "ALL" category finally, Thank you engineers and Pulse for listening to me complain about it for a year :)

RB 1.5.0 crashing on startup when my external HD with music/RB files is loaded. When not loaded RB starts up fine. No problems with the RB 1.4. What to do?

@classie > You could have a damaged database; see this thread for instructions on swapping to the backup database.

Failing that, simply connect the USB drive after Rekordbox has started and see if it works then.

Yup tried that database repair thing with no luck. Strange thing is that RB opens fine when external drive is not loaded, AND that the 1.4.1 version opened fine WITH the external drive loaded.

The keyboard shortcuts for the numpad + and - are not working. They are detected as the normal + and - on the keyboard while the software does make a difference between them. By default both the normal + and numpad + are assigned to volume up. This is also true for the other numpad keys except the numbers. These are detected as being pressed on the numpad section.

Trying to map CTRL + 1 to Delete Memory Cue 1 gives me the message " Currently assigned to Display Collection. However, I can't find display collection in the key mapping overview or the menu structure.

Is the Mobile Devices (WiFi) button on the Devices tab new? Haven't seen it before, but could have missed it. Can't find anything about it in the Change History and the manual is only very brief about it. Do I need a special app on for example my IPhone?

The MobileDevices button is for future expansion.

LOVE the new update, Key addons i love

1. FASTER SEARCH!!!! "ALL" search is lightning fast now, it's a little hesitant if you type a little slow but still 10000 times better, Thank you Pio

2. Added button for creating playlists, Nice feature!!

1. Newly-created playlists and hot cue bank lists are now displayed at the top of the folder which contains them. - This is great when you have a lot of playlists like I do

2. Auto scrolling when moving playlists around is great, Works perfect

I am not grasping what this is though: When made visible, column now appears near position of mouse cursor.

Seems to be the problems happen with copy/paste to this field -- something is getting parsed and it seems to kill the rest of the posting.

@BriChi > The column thing basically means instead of adding the newly added column to the far right (as many programs do), when you add a column, it will appear where you clicked to add it!  Very handy for not having to sort your columns.

As for the USB-MIDI thing, I know where it appears, I just don't know what purpose it serves.
