Rekordbox 2.0.2 - installed and re-analyzing files

Mine is dpoing the opposite since I updated. The analyze option is greyed out? I actually want it to re-analyze as all the beatgrids were out of line.

It would be useful if there was a way to find out which files have been analyzed and an option not to analyze BPM etc.

Very strange... It seems the newest Rekordbox update works really well.

Reanalysed all my files and everything seems to work fine.

Guys I may be being stupid but how can I force Rekordbox to analyze my entire collection again? It kept doing it by itself in 2.01!

Highlight all trax, right click and 'Analyze'

The option is greyed out though?

Thanks guys. If anyone else has the same issue my workaround was highlight all - analyse missing info which then turns off the greyed out analyse option at the top of that menu. Looks like I will have to analyse all again once this has completed.

I have exactly the same problem, although I have no indication from Rekordbox such as it saying 'analysing tracks' but when running the hard drive light on my laptop is going nuts and performance of the software has dropped. I hope the option to stop analysing while connected to my cdjs still works otherwise it will be unusable.

so are you guys saying that installing this new rekordbox update, your entire collection is automatically re-analysed and i'll have to go through each one, check its accuracy and make manual adjustments ?

I am reanalizing my collection. Does recordbox automaticaly  also reanalize the playlists???

@Niels > Analysing only analyses tracks in your database. A playlist is no more than a map that says where tracks are located in that database. Once you've analysed the tracks, it makes no difference to the playlists.

@Gavin am I reading this wrong? Do I need to recreate playlists again then if this is the case? Surely the playlist drags the info from the core info in collection even when changes are made?

@gavin has there been any thought to the fact that re analyzing the tracks on every record box update is a huge hassle. Every time its updated I have to go back and tighten the grid by hand for each track in my collection. it really is enough to make me never use record box if I have to do it again. 

could it be sti up to look at the file and rewrite to the same position tempo and marker placement? and just update the waveform info and data for the cdjs?

@Scott > Sure it may be an inconvenience for some but my understanding is that the algorithm has been tweaked for greater accuracy. I've asked for official clarification.

Gavin is there any way that the re-analyzing can be set as an option.?. I'm a latin DJ and most Spanish music doesn't have a constant BPM or beat grid, I've spent countless hours making adjustments manually. This will undo all of that hard work.

Guys, i installed 2.02 and it don't re-analyzed my library automatic. I think if you allready got 2.01 you don't need to analyze again. And if you do, then the playlist's,memory cues, hot cues stay unaffected as gavin allready posted.

I also updated to 2.02 and it did not re-analyze my library. I'm finding a huge improvement. Same with the 2000NEXUS update. The switch I use for linking went freaky but I just had to do prefs over. I would go as far to say I would use Rekordbox to gig with, but i'm tired of looking a computer monitor. I djed last night with total confidence in my equipment. I'm glad to be a computer free dj again. I've missed the crowd!

Didn't happen to me - i came from 2.0.1.

   What was your previous version ? It might happen because you updated from a "much" older version (not 2.0.1). Meanwhile the analyzing algorithm was changed - NOT in the latest version (2.0.2) , or at least i can say RB did not re-analyzed my tracks since updating from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 .
