Reading through all of these old posts, and having already replied to you in another post (@Taco), I'd suggest the problem is the USB drive itself is of poor quality.
The more I use this software the more useless it becomes. Its just plain irritating and full to the brim with bugs.
I have a singe playlist of 810 mp3s fully analysed. Fat 32 formatted empty 32g USB memory stick. After waiting over an hour to export via Rekordbox it fails to create a library. To prove a point I then reformat USB then transfered a playlist with 170 songs. Works no problems. Why on earth will it not allow me to transfer this 810 file playlist? I've also tried one with 500 files and still it just fails to create. Now I've tried to split the play lists in 2 but the "intelligent playlists" maker wont play game with the information I have in the tags.
any ideas on whats going on?

I've now tried to split the original 810 playlist into 3 playlists of 203 files and 1 of 204. It will transfer and create a library for just 1 of the 4 playlists. The moment I export another playlist added to the 1st one the library cannot be created. Even if I remove and re-plug in memory stick, it then fails all library creating. The memory stick becomes useless with all folders in the USB browse menu become empty, and I get an error when I replug in the USB saying its corrupt please delete the playlists. Even if the memory stick viewed via windows has all the songs in the "contents" folder. Only the 1 playlist works perfectly on my XDJ-R1 as expected, that could be any of the 4 playlists....but only 1
Bascially meaning i cannot put on a 32gb USB more than 200 or so files...........this cannot be right?
It works as a USB fine with all 810 files, just without all the Rekordbox features
Any help on this please??
I had the same issue, updated to the latest version of the software, and it just worked. 32Gb with 1400 tracks, no issue... then today, it just failed to write to the library after 8% of 12 songs (it usually only takes a few seconds). BEYOND annoyed, as it has been faultless for the past couple of months.
Might be of some help to you:

I'm going to jump on this thread so we can hopefully get the issue sorted. My music worked perfectly on the last USB update two days ago, and the old tracks all still work now, however after adding 12/13 tracks on to it this evening, I'm getting the message below after 8%:
I've tried undoing all of the changes, but the library just won't update.
Since the image doesn't work:

Yeah same message I got. I formatted stick twice over as suggested in the link you posted. The stick even managed to create the library but when plugged into the XDJ-R1 all folders were empty, even the "folder" section was empty. When plugging the stick back into RB it told me "playlists are corrupt" so had to delete them and start again. Sure enough it "failed to create" didn't get past 23%.
Not sure whats up still....
It's a right pain. I have 1403 tracks which thankfully still work, but not sure why the library won't update the new tracks. Read that it could be the amount of folders, but I only have 800ish.
I've got the same problem, why isn't Pioneer fixing this?
