I've had the DDJ-ERGO V for a few months now and I have to say it's an absolute DON when it comes down to smashing a set! There are though unfortunately a couple of issues I have with the controller which I have not yet found a fix for.
- AUX Input Problem
It's not very often I'm doing a B2B set with other DJ's but recently I've done a fair few sessions with other DJ's using different controllers/decks to me. I have my controller setup so the MAIN output is sending to a channel on the other DJ's mixer and also my AUX INPUT is recieving the RECORD OUT of the other DJ's mixer so I can hear them in my headphones. I have the AUX INPUT playing on deck B. I have only 2 decks setup in VDJ. (DECK A & B).
Whilst the other DJ is mixing everything appears to be fine! I can hear them in my headphones and I am able to mix into them perfectly fine and there doesn't appear to be any latency issues or anything like that. Once I have mixed into the other DJ's track I then turn the AUX INPUT off on deck B so I can no longer hear the other DJ's music and I can use deck B again to play my own tracks. When I turn the AUX INPUT off on deck B for some reason every time I do that the speakers everywhere in the room make distorted noises (Not constant distortion like it's too loud or anything like that but the odd spitting and distorted noises every couple of seconds). I then have to go into the Sound Options in VDJ and completely remove the input and that stops the noises but means I have a split second of no music every time I have mixed out of the other DJ.
- MIC Delay
This isn't a massive issue for me as most of the time I have no need to use my MIC but when I need to it is a complete disaster. I find that most of the time the MIC is absolutely fine! But other times I can go to use the mic and it's like a whole second delay when I'm talking. This completely confuses me and I end up having to compensate for the delay by sticking my headphones on and trying to ignore my voice echoing out of the speakers so I don't sound completely retarded when trying to talk!
Any help on fixing my issues would be absolutely great!
