@Alex > It should support any drive that is properly partitioned and formatted; what tool did you use to format to FAT32? If you used Windows, try using the HP USB formatting utility (found easily on Google). You'll more than likely need your external power supply with it if the housing requires it.

フォローするcdj-2000 , external harddrive (fat32 formated) not working
Recently have tried using an external hard-drive with cdj-2000 and it just woun't recognized it (says NO USB) . The drive is a 150GB IDE drive inside a external usb hard-drive housing with an external power supply, FAT32 formatted, rekordbox recognizes it fine
Does CDJ-2000 only support like a certain type of usb hard-drives drives ?

I'v used the partition manager integrated inside kubuntu (linux) live cd not sure what the name was , i'v created a primary fat32 partition
and yes i'm using the external powersupply
I know this answer is a bit late and probably you already found the solution. The HP tool mentioned before didnt work for me when I first started using this cdjs. Here is the tool I use. I uploaded it so anyone can easily get it. It's free so no worries about that too.
