CDJ-350 mechanic info

It could simply be some dust or dirt has made its way into the race-set on which the jog rotates.  If it still functions normally, there's nothing to worry about.

Actually, it is plastic on plastic from the start.. You will not get that floating ball bearing feeling that you do from other superior players... 800's and up.. You can however open the player up. (extremely carefull if you do) and adjust a tension switch that is located underneath the jog wheel.. clearly visible once you disarm main player cover.. In my opinion, this transforms the jog feel for the better...  big time..(no effect on sensitivity, that cannot be modified) Total time it takes to modify: 5 minutes. Good luck! :)

this is exactly what happened with mine, i bought them about 5 months ago and they where fine when i bought them, but a month ago i found this exact problem, the cdj was still working as it should but it seemed to be making a small grinding noise, and felt like it was dragging slightly, i took it to my pioneer repair centre, on friday the 2nd september, i was reluctant to send it in because i had a big party the next saturday, but i was assured that i would have it back on the wednesday (hahaha), i phoned up on the wednesday and was told that it needed a new jog dail, and jog shaft, and the parts where on overnight over from pioneer europe in belgium, so called thursday still nothing, friday came and went (so i canceled my party on saturday) then on monday the repair centre phoned me and told me that the parts where out of stock in europe and where being sent from japan and would be landing in N.Ireland today (thankfully they did) and i was told i should have my CDJ back tomorrow afternoon. now if i was you i would send it in for repair because i always say if it is a fault it could get worse so deal with it early, but be advised you might have a long wait that in truth will annoy you off big time

I bought a pair of 350's and had the same inconvenient. It was working normally and quiet about extra noises from the cd player.

After like 6 months of use one of the players started doing this plastic to plastic noise.

I have not faced any change on the equipment functions so far. I'm very careful on handling the jogs and all buttons of my equipments.....

But someone else besides than me used and than the noise started....so i think that a Heavy Hand DJ may cause your CDJ 350 to start doing this anoying noise...but no actions to be taken in this case,

The other possibility is the outer ring of the jog has come out of position and is rubbing, you can try popping it back into place if that's the issue.

@everyone..... once you open any unit yourself it voids the warranty

Hi again guys.. Well, as i can c my post was deleted... I forgot to mention in my post that no lnger exists what DJ- Ric pointed out about warranty voiding, Thanx man!...In the case that the warranty has expired however, which was my case, then you can take matters into your own hands which is what i did and spent no money at all versus emptying your pocket on: 1, shiping costs, 2, a charge just to open the player/s and 3, repair costs. If its in warranty, hell, send it in for sure! If not, weigh the options and risks.. Keep in mind that often more than not busineses will squeeze every penny in service costs, even when they are not necasserry...

However, Pioneer cannot stand over products that have DIY alterations - both for the safety of the user and so that the unit is not damaged beyond repair. For that reason we recommend authorised service centres where a qualified technician can carry out the repair.

If you feel businesses squeeze you for every penny you've got then you've got to re-consider who you do business with.
