@Dan > It seems likely that there is anti-virus / security software blocking Pioneer traffic and therefore causing your issue.

Right, it's still saying 'loading is currently disabled for the specified device'.
I have tried changing the firewall settings but It makes no difference. Although when I check the firewall history it looks like it is being blocked?
Is it possible to download the older version at that was working fine?

Hi, has anyone found a solution to this problem yet? I think its quite poor that the aero is basically a rekordbox machine yet I can not send tracks to it from rekordbox on my laptop. Unfortunately I can't find any earlier versions of rekordbox to try either. Please help me Pioneer! Mike

I'm using the first version, I think it's 1.6 or something. Works perfect. I give up trying to use the latest version. I tried the recent update last week 2.0.3 is it? Does the same thing won't load from laptop. Probably is a firewall setting but it still doesn't work even with the firewall turned off. It's obviously affecting a few people shame pioneer haven't fixed the issue yet.

Thanks Dan, I will dig out the disc and reinstall that to try. It is a real shame that Pioneer haven't fixed the issue yet, its been going on for a while by the looks of the forums, surely it can't be that difficult.

Hey guys!

In what way is you problem showing itself?

I had a problem where I could get the link going and i could see the AERO picture, but if I tried to load a song with 1.6.2 the picture disappeared and if I tried it in 2.0.3 I got a message telling me that the loading for the device was disabled.

I reinstalled my laptop and disabled the firewall, disabled windows defender and had no AV installed, but still the problem was there...

I finally solved it.

I found that the "Windows Media Sharing Service" was running on my computer, and it uses alot of the network-ports that RB uses.

After disabling that service and rebooting, i got 1.6.2 to work, but 2.0.3 showed the same message.

After a week of troubleshooting a found the culprit.

My laptop came with "Office 2010 Starter edition", and I had installed/activated it.

It uses a virtual drive (mapped to Q:) , and the driver it uses for this interferes with RB.

In my case it didn't help to uninstall Office, so I had to manually disable the the driver in the registry.

I don't have the key/driver-name here at work, but i can post it later if anyone else needs it.

Hi Wicket,

The aero and laptop connect perfectly every time and the picture of the aero appears in rekordbox. The problem arises when you try and load a track onto one of the aero decks. I get the loading is disabled on the specified device message. I reinstalled rekordbox 1.6 that came with the aero last night and it seems to work fine with that version just not any newer versions of rekordbox.

That's what I got when Office interfered with the newer versions.

Do you have any "odd" drives on your computer?

The thing that got me thinking of drivers interfering, was that if I rebooted my computer into "safe mode with networking", the new versions of RB worked.

As a side note, I have also found that if I have any external NTFS-drive connected to the computer, the link will crash if I try to load a song to the AERO.

(and before someone says something about it... no, I don't load anything from the NTFS-drive, I don't use the NTFS-drive for RB at all... I just have it connected to the computer)

Yes I do have the same office 2010 starter edition mapped to drive Q on my laptop.

If you could post the name of the driver later I will try disabling it and try the aero again.

Thank you for your help I really appreciate it

I managed to uninstall that Microsoft office thing and bingo the aero works with rekordbox 2.03. Thanks so much I never would have associated the two. Mike

Great to hear guys!

For me the uninstall didn't work, so I had to do the following:

  1. Start Regedit and go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Sftvol"

  2. Change the "Start"-value to 4 (make a note of the value before you change it, or export to a reg-file)

  3. reboot
