[CLOSED] XDJ-Aero users upgrading to XDJ-R1
Hey guys,
Aero user here that is seriously considering getting an R1. There are a ton of upgrades over the Aero IMO.
+XLR outputs
+HOT CUES!
+Sound Color FX (pitch - can someone confirm this is similar to the DJM-800's harmonic?)
+track search button
+better display
+better knobs
+vinyl mode (can someone confirm it has CDJ mode as native?)
The only thing I wish this had was a REC function that the Aero has :((((((
Anything else the Aero has that the R1 doesn't?
Also I am missing something? The Aero has a much higher MSRP than the R1!

BriChi, without this function, kinda makes it necessary for two USB slots right? Makes next person start with a CD :|

all of us users who have XDJ aero want the same thing! Able to control the mixer via iPad! (similar to remotebox) I hope this!

I will stick with the aero.
My initial switch from cdj1000s to the aero was a cheap entry to the rekordbox software.
I thought the wireless streaming of songs was just a gimmick, how wrong I was. I now download all my songs onto my tablet and stream them from there.
The record function also eliminates the need for me to have my laptop connected via a soundcard. All I use my laptop now for is converting the wav file i have recorded into mp3.
I don't know what to make of the new remote box software. Traktor dj for iPad costs £13 yet you need to spend £850 on the r1 hardware to get remote box to work.

Actually scrap my last comment. I spent £870 on the aero to allow the rekordbox app to work!!!!

Hi Davide, yes I'm satisfied with rekordbox on my android tablet.
To be able to download songs then stream them straight off the tablet is great for me.
