フォローする[SOLVED] XDJ-R1 - .WAV Loop Freeze
Does this happen on anyone elses XDJ-R1?
When I use the loop button on a .WAV file at exactly 00:00:00 it will freeze, however if I set the cue point at any other time even 00:00:01 and then use the loop button it works fine? It doesn't seem to be a problem with .mp3 files however. Its really annoying because I would need to adjust the cue point in every track to make sure it wasn't on exactly 00:00:00 or it will freeze when I set a loop. All tracks are recordbox analysed to the latest version & its not the USB stick because I've tried multiple.
Could this be something that can be fixed within a firmware update? Or is my unit at fault here?

Yep. Most certainly, By freeze do you mean a high pitched whine? That is the issue I have when looping wavs from 0:0:0
Yes that's it. Sometimes I can get out of it by pressing the loop button again so the noise goes away, but if I press cue or change the loop size too many times whilst its making the high pitched whine then the whole unit will freeze.
Glad to know its not just my unit that is faulty, but rather something that can be fixed with firmware.
Escalating to a ticket with the engineers.
Excellent, I was worried there would be no more support for this unit, thanks.
They've asked if you can provide an example file with which this occurs and if there are any other conditions you have present for it to happen.
Here is a video showing what happens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vv16LAwwzYo. Shown on the ipad to make it easier for you to see the problem, it happens when not using the ipad aswell. Notice it lets me do 1/2 1/4 1/8 but not 1, 4, 8 beat loops.
Here is one of the WAV files you can download to test with (it was released as a free download by the artists) - https://www.dropbox.com/s/tbovtu7vonxgpp6/Darwin%20%26%20In-Effect%20Feat.%20Fraz%20%20-%20Only%20Road%20%28Fracus%20%26%20Darwin%20Remix%29.wav?dl=0
Thanks Pulse
any response from the engineers?
