HID Advanced Mode w/Serato Issue

Using CDJ-2000s (Firmware 4.3) and Serato SL4, CDJ's set to Advanced HID mode.

This setup works fine until I want to swap with another DJ and they are playing off of USB sticks or CDs. The only way to change the media type the CDJ has selected is to manually reset the CDJ. Simply pressing CD or USB does nothing, the CDJ continues to treat the deck as a MIDI controller until it's reset. 

Ideas?
