Failed to back up collection

Hi everyone

I'm trying to backup library (and backup music files as well) on PC with Windows 7 to move my collection to Macbook

Tried rekordbox 3.3 and rekordbox 4 - the same problem: after 40% of process i get message:

"Failed to back up collection"

And that's it... No explanation

Buck up without music files is successful but i need whole collection

Thank you!

I had some problems importing playlists, where some tracks disapeared, and i dont remember if i had any message of error but im almost sure that i got those messages, so i tried and tested every posibilities that i could imagine, and i found that rekordbox do not accept wierd carachters, like pontuation, accents and so on. so check if those tracks that are missing, had non comum characters or symbols or else. Hope it helps.

@Katy > It's possible, as @feel4steel notes, that there are some filenames or fields with unsupported characters, or maybe missing files. Do you have any of those in your collection?

I'm happy to tell that i managed to relocate the library. The problem with old laptop library backup left unsolved but never mind))

In last version of recordbox they did the mechanism that find all the tracks in the folder if you show the way to one of them. Folder by folder pretty fast.

Thanks pioneer and everyone for support!

Is there any way to know exactly what characters aren't supported? I have 25,000 songs and would rather search than look at each field individually.

Yes what characters are not supported? I was able to get rid of all of my missing files but it still won't back up? Is there a way that I can view an error log or something that will tell me which files are problematic?
