Hey Gavin, that's me :) You've shocked me now as I assumed you'd be in London or something. Do I know you?  I appreciate your time. Yup, played all those places and more. Used pioneer now for a very long time and I'm glad you've followed up on the issues I reported as I was disappointed. Are you allowed to say how you got on with the unit yourself?

Yeah, I've been testing it out tonight on some of the issues other users have reported and I have received some lock-ups - its just that I can't seem to consistently reproduce some of the errors. Others I just haven't gotten around to testing yet. I'll likely get back to you in the morning with a truckload of questions related to your video ;)

Loop issue isn't fixed.

Some loops still stumble at the end (causing loop to last longer than 4,8,... beats). Quantize was on and the loop was perfectly set and stored to a hot cue slot with rekordbox before. However, the xdj-r1 wasn't able to play the according loop (place and number of beats).

Further, pressing the hot cue button which activates the loop does not start the loop at the first beat every time you hit the cue button (with sync off), unlike with the cdj2000.
