Linking XDJ-1000 to rekordbox DJ

Hi, Can you link the XDJ-1000 to rekordbox DJ and if so, how? And do you need a separate controller to control rekordbox DJ and the XD-1000, or does the XDJ-1000 act as the controller? Please advise. And provide any links to manuals, videos, etc. that would be helpful, on how to link the XDJ-1000 to rekordbox DJ. Thank you for your help!
