PIONEER DDJ SX LINE FADERS BLEEDING

Hi guys,

I have had my ddjsx for just over 2 years and recently the line faders on channel 1 and 2 have gone to shit. They both behave erratically when the volume is turned down, the levels are moving up and down and sound can be heard coming through. The same thing also happens when the volume is turned up fully on each channel. Has any one else experienced this?

I was considering using some servisol fader cleaner and compressed air to see if this will fix it. I have a feeling however that they are worn out. I expected the faders to last the life of the unit. I only use it at home (bedroom dj mixing) for a few hours a week.

any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated. thanks all

@Connor > Although the faders are the most susceptible parts of controllers, for them to be bleeding after 2 years of light use is definitely a rare case.  I have seen SX's that look liked Mike Tyson's punching bags and still have no fader issues.  Was any liquid ever spilled onto or into the unit?  Was it ever dropped?  You can try fader cleaner.  It evaporates relatively quickly.  Just be sure not to use too much at once.  Apply 1 or 2 quick sprays and move the fader rapidly until the liquid dries.  Repeat this process a few times on each fader.  Please let us know if this solves your issue.

Hi, sorry for late reply. I used servisol super 10 switch cleaning lubricant. Miracle stuff, the line faders are like new. They do feel a bit more loose but no bleeding. I only sprayed a tiny amount and left it for about half an hour, moving the line faders up and down until it evaporated. Cheers to mark for the suggestion. Really happy and back loving the ddjsx. Thanks
