XDJ-RX Sort + column

I noticed that if i change the sorting order from the current default to e.g. Dated Added, the column also changes its prior diplay setting to the new sorting order.
Is it possible to change the sorting order but keep displaying the same column (e.g. BPM) ?

You mean to show the different second column within the RX? Instead of using the sort (menu), go back to the main category and display the tracks by date added, then from the menu, sort by BPM.

If you don't have the desired categories showing on your USB drive, within rekordbox you can add them by connecting the USB device, then clicking on the device name (on the left) and click the CATEGORY and SORT tabs on the right to select the fields you want to make them active.

I use 'Playlist' from the mainmenu for browsing through my songs, so your advice is not really an alternative for me. But thank you anyways.
Does this actually mean that it is not possible to sort the tracks within a playlist by a new order and not have the data from the new sorting order in the column?

Actually it is not a double sort. Using the 'Playlist' option from main menu to browse through my 'playlisted' tracks and then using the sort function on it is no problem. The sort function then only changes the display data of the second column. It is just that i want to sort by dated added but instead of displaying then the date in the second column i want to keep the prior option set column display...

Yeah, that's not possible - it would be a sort & display other info, which it can't do.

But before i change the sorting order the unit displays the BPM in the second column as i configured in the options in RB but the tracks are not sorted by BPM. I guess some kind of default sorting is active. So without changing the sorting order, the unit displays the tracks not sorted by the option for the second column. But any further change of the sorting order would make the difference that it is no longer possible?

When you first load a playlist, it's in the order you designated those tracks to appear within rekordbox. The column to the right should display whichever you default in the Column tab for the device:

If you make a selection to sort from the MENU, it overrides that display choice.

So you mean the order i have active in the recordbox browser? Because then that does not work for me, no matter what order currently is active in the browser. The RX stilll seems to order the tracks in the playlist by default.
By the way, i use the link function for Rekordbox playback and no usb stick. Maybe this matters.

Ahhh... you never said that. ;)

It will display by the default order for that playlist (which is numerical). For example, if you sort by artist, then go to "Playlist > Renumber track order," that will be the new order for that playlist and would show as the default on the player as well.

Sorry, i did not know that there was such a difference between using usb and the link function.. :D

I tried your solution, but unfortunately this does ony apply to normal playlists and does not work with intelligent playlists...

That's because the intelligent playlists are dynamically regenerated all the time.

So then it is not possible to change the default order, is it?
