Beat jump on the unit itself is not available, nor will it be introduced in a firmware update as this is a limitation of available memory and processing, not against any policy.
I was just wondering if there is anyway to jump beats (say 32 beats) into a track without hot cueing or fast forwarding through?
The feature on traktor s4 i really liked and i cant seem to find the same feature on this new controller. Any help would be great,

Not as yet, you can do that on other xdj products but not as much as 32 as far as I remember
Ive seen you can do it in rekord box dj but cant fathom how to do it on the controller.
Pioneer, that's kind of ridiculous that you don't implement such a basic DJ-Feature for your standanlone DJ-Controller-flagship. It's not possible due to hardware/software limitations? Shure ;-)
How is that ridiculous? It's a mid-range product when compared to features of other Pioneer DJ products.
I know, you're trying to say in its class of "stand alone" products, it's the top, but honestly, it doesn't encompass all of the features of the CDJ-2000NXS, so I consider it to be "mid-range."
ok, sorry to hear that, because I thought, that I bought THE flagship and not a mid-range product.
Anyway, please I have another question:
Things like prelistening to tracks without loading it to a player, or full color waveforms, or beat jumping, is it impossible to implement these features due to software/hardware limitations? Or don't you want to weaken your top product lines when implementing such features in your mid-range products?
So is there a physical limit or a marketing one?
@Volker > It's a physical limitation of the RX. There is physically NO WAY to start / stop a track for previewing it on the unit itself. If you use it with rekordbox in performance mode, you certainly can due to the configuration of the headphone cueing system. Unfortunately, even with the link to rekordbox in export mode, there is no ability to assign the headphone cueing to preview a track. It has nothing to do with marketing.
Colour waveforms are a possibility, if the hardware allows it, but I'm not guaranteeing it will be included.
So can you, or can you not beat jump with the XDJ-RX?
you can use beat jump by using the xdj-rx as a controller for REKORDBOX DJ (according to this link https://rekordbox.com/assets/diagram/en/XDJ-RX_Hardware_Diagram.pdf ), but honestly, if you want to use rekordbox dj, you wouldn't buy a RX, you could have a much cheaper product. the main feature of XDJ RX is that it supports rekordbox prepared USB sticks & playlists, so i don't get the point of using it for rekordbox dj. but maybe some people do.
however. beat jump can't be a physical limitation of the XDJ RX, i would really appreciate if pioneer adds this feature to a "mid range" DJ product. also, according to it's price i think it's not a "mid range" dj product and should support essential features, and beat jump is definetly an essential feature.
i mean if it's implemented on the "top" products already, and the hardware layout is basically the same, it should not be to much work to implement it on the XDJ RX firmware too (maybe i'm wrong) ? Or maybe it's against pioneers policy ?
