I am new to a XDJ-1000 and RekordBox. I have the RekordBox Plus subscription.
I am used to having a dual DJ controller connected to the PC via USB and I would drag a track on the PC DJ Software to load on Deck 1 (or 2) and then either be able to start/stop the playing of that track via the DJ Software OR on the controller. As well when the track is playing, the time, etc. is being shown in the DJ Software AND on the actual controller display.
Using the XDJ-1000 with a LAN cable connected to the network hub and the PC connected to that same hub, it seems like only in RekordBox 'Export' mode I can do a link, drag a song to the player and have it load, BUT if I press the Play button on the XDJ, it does not show it playing with the time, etc. in RekordBox. Is this not possible via a LAN cable?

plug the 1000's in via USB and activate "Performance" mod in Rekordbox, then you will have the full Rekordbox DJ software.
With LAN cables its just Rekordbox which is drag and drop and everything is controlled from the player which is how most CDJ users use it with Rekordbox
