Rekordbox 5* award after 6hrs Live use... For me at least, stable....

Sharing my thoughts from last night.

So, after a gig last night with 6 Hrs solid use using Rekordbox 4.0.6 performance mode I was really impressed, it was the first time I had used in a Live environment and have to say I had no issues whatsoever. I was using on a Asus N550JK with Windows 10 Home, its running a i7 quad core processor with 8GB RAM and dedicated GForce 850M GTX graphics - The controller was a DDJ-SX and all the music is on a Samsung M3 2TB external USB3 hard drive.

I noted as has already been discussed that the full screen mode on a laptop with Intel HD graphics causes RB to crash and you have to get RB to only use the discrete GForce card if you want to put RB in full screen view.

One thing that would be handy is on the SX, when you turn the browse knob to scroll your collection it would automatically enter browse full view without you having to press the spacebar first.

Maybe also, if the fonts could be sharpened up a little, just look a little jagged at the moment even on a full hd screen.

But, all in all very happy with RB 4.0.6 - after the trial is over will very likely purchase and move away from Traktor. I like how Pioneer seem to have rolled various features from others software's into one, this was one of my biggest gripes with ''other'' software, seeing users asking for features for years and years and the software companies just not implementing as they deemed not important enough. I think as long as Pioneer don't get like this and they keep trying to deliver users requests without the software getting too bloated then they will have a software that could truly be a force to be reckoned with for DJs.

Looking to probably move the SX on and also get the DDJ-RZ for the added functionality and larger jogs.

A quick note for the forum, not sure if possible but it would be handy for users if Pioneer could start a feature request section again and when a user suggests a feature, Pioneer could maybe tag as ''being looked into'', ''will be implemented in future update'', ''no planned implementation'' - that way users could see whats coming or not and Pioneer would not get requests over and over again for the same feature requests. It seems to work well on a certain SATNAV forum.
