Broken headband In two pieces - then 2 weeks after, in another 2 pieces

I bought a HDJ c-70 in the US about 10 months ago and brought it to brazil with me.
A few weeks ago i took the headphone off my head and the fragile plastic headband just snapped into two pieces.
Tired of trying to get any answer from pioneer support i just fixed the headband myself with a black tape, tapping the two pieces together. Of course looked terrible but at least was working (by working i mean that was usable).
Then, for my surprise, yesterday i took the headphone of my head while playing in a gig and again ... pah!! snapped in another part of the headband.

From the posts i've been reading in some foruns it seems that A LOT OF PEOPLE have had the same issue. It seems like in all the cases it is such a surprise since people are not doing anything extreme with the headphone ... i mean, it was suppose to be resistant to those kind of moves ...

I would like a position from pioneer since i can't use my headphone right now (i won't glue it again) ...

What sould I do ? Please help me ...

Sincerely,

I've taped it together for now ... and look terrrible!

Hello all,

Sorry to hear the serious issues on HDJ-C70.

Please contact Pioneer DJ Support in your country from the link below.

http://www.pioneerdj.com/en-us/support/contact/

Basically, however, any products should be serviced within the country where you purchased them.

Please note: It might be difficult to use the warranty to repair or replace the headphone in a different country.

Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your kind understanding.

Best regards,

CRM, Pioneer DJ

Hello there, I would like to support Breno’s statement.

My paire of C70 also broke yesterday (they are still under warranty).

I was using them carefully (as every expensive headphones owner would do) and they broke while putting them on my head. (both symmetrical side see picture below)

Is there any solution ? @PioneerDJ

Same with me, just broke them this week. The headphones is exactly 1 year old, and it broke with almost no force at all, just like with other guys and on exactly same spot. I'm having trouble to repair it here in Slovenia because guys from service center aren't responding..

I liked this headphones very much until this happened and i'm affraid that if i'll buy new ones, the same will happen within 1 year =/ ..

Any suggestion? Or maybe can i buy spare headband directly from you?

Pioneer Brasil doesn't work with headphones, so they said they can't help me. I've been given a bunch of store's phone numbers (about 30 of them) and told to call each of them to seek third party support. NONE of the stores work with pioneer headphones ...

I'll wait for you guys (pioneer US) to give me another (and BETTER) solution. Is there a way to send it to the US (or europe) for a replacement? My parents are going to travel to France in 1 month, is there a Store there where they can do it?

best regards,

Breno
