Pioneer PLX-1000 Tonearm Lift problem

Hi,

I just bought 2 Pioneer PXL-1000 turntables last week, and on one of them

I noticed that the lift lever won't bring the tonearm all the way up, it hits the

tonearm cradle when I use the lift lever to place a tonearm on a record, I can lift it up all the way with my finger so, is there a fix for this? I found a screw

on the lift lever located underneath the tonearm, I did try and turn the screw

a few turns in both directions, but that had no effect, I sure don't want to pack

everything up and send it back the the merchant, as this doesn't effect the overall operation or sound quality and the tracking force of the turntable, the lift will go down far enough so, there is no skipping of any records. has anyone here ever had this small annoyance?

not sure what I should do here..........I could sent it back  if I really have too

Thanks for your reply, I'm currently waiting for an RMA for the merchant, so that they can do an even exchange.

Today, I got another turntable and had the same problem, so I followed the workaround located in the Pioneer PLX-1000 turntable Manual pdf., and it work

I was able to turn the screw counterclockwise to pop the lever back up, so now it comes up all the way to where it no longer hits the tonearm cradle.

I was not able to do this with the turntable I had to returned, no matter how many times I tried

but I'm happy to report that everything is working like it should.

these Pioneer PXL-1000 turntables are AWSOME!!!
