BUG: midi note in for MIDI track does not work

Have you experienced this only via MIDI USB or also MIDI DIN?

Good question, I was using USB midi, I will try Midi DIN later. However, even with USB midi I could trigger the pad in track mode (1 set pitch), just not in scale mode

Interesting Simon. Well, I do know that Pioneer expects MIDI DIN to work both from MIDI controllers and your computer, while it only expects MIDI USB to work from your computer. 

The same issue exists over Midi DIN as with USB, i.e., I can chromatically trigger sample tracks over USB or DIN midi (midi channel maps to pad), but this does not work for midi tracks.

James, I am using an iconnectiity iconnect MIDI 4+ as my midi interface and my USB keyboard controller goes through that, so it is essentially the same as coming from a computer (i.e. a host) - I am not going direct from my USB controller to the Toraiz over USB! That wouldn't work.

So, it seems this is a bug - any comments Pioneer?

No Problem isn't solved!  I have a Acceess Virus Ti POlar and i want to play midi notes into the PIONEER Toriaz and i am having the same issue of the midi not being recorded to the sequencer   .WE NEED THIS IN ARE UPDATE SOON PLEASE

Why pioneer is not giving any answer about this??? I need to record midi through a external keyboard. It’s a most common feature ever that I would never expected pioneer could fail on that and now I have €1400 waist of space in my studio 🤬🤬🤬
