Disconnecting player while playing

Hi, how do you disconnect a player (CDJ2000) while it is running HID with rekordbox in performance mode? Other than turning it off that is...

I want to be able to take one player off rekordbox (while the other cdj is playing) so I can quickly play a track on the cdj from usb. I have tried pressing and holding the back button in various places but it won't disconnect.

Press the USB button, select a track from the USB drive It will possibly warn you (if the deck is playing or connected to HID), acknowledge the alert, and carry on.

Tried that, I don't get any form of message or error. Selecting a track from usb does nothing.

Any ideas on this? Getting frustrating having to power down the player, or physically pull out the rear USB cable in order to go back to playing from a USB stick.

I can do a video if you need, but the issue is fairly simple. It lets me browse the USB stick fine, but just does nothing at all when trying to select a track.

Is the message supposed to appear on the player, or in Rekordbox?
