No audio out of RX2

I got a brand new RX2. There is no sound output of the device. I downloaded all drivers and software updates via mac and update the device as such. 

I want to use the RX2 as a stand alone unit. The tracks are playing, i can see the sound bars on the mixer and master, but no audio out, no audio to headphones. just silence.

I have read through the forums, updated device firmware, drivers and software updates and still nothing.. please help
