Are you in REVERSE or do you just mean that you have "censored" temporarily?
Because otherwise, slip+reverse+hotcue is just asking for things to not work anyhow! Who DJs like that?! lol
BLOCKING ERROR OF HOT CUE
I have discovered an error or BUG, which can be easily reproduced, following the steps, so I do not make video.
The hotcue buttons are blocked and do not work !!!
To reproduce the fault, do the following:
-oppose any song that has recorded some hotcues in DECK 1 or 2
- Shoot the hotcue, it works ok
-press SLIP
-the hotcue works as expected in the SLIP mode, at the moment it is OK
-Do one or more games by pressing the "REV" button ... release the button
-NOW THE HOTCUE ARE BLOCKED AND DO NOT WORK
They are unlocked:
Exit SLIP mode
Press REV, and press again to continue in normal direction, and hotcue recover.
I hope you help me.
regards

I see you have not understood.
Can you do step by step as I explain?
I will try to explain it better for you ...
The hotcue buttons are blocked and do not work !!!
To reproduce the fault, do the following:
-oppose any song that has recorded some hotcues in DECK 1 or 2
- Shoot the hotcue, it works ok
-press SLIP release the button
-the hotcue works as expected in the SLIP mode, at the moment it is OK
-Do one or more games by pressing the "REV" button... (1 beat or other) ... release the button
-NOW THE HOTCUE ARE BLOCKED AND DO NOT WORK
---------------------------
--------------------------
THE WORLD CAN BE CHECKED THAT THE FAULT IS REAL AND THEY BLOCK
***I'm not talking about pressing slip + rev + hotcue !!
press SLIP first, then REV, and when releasing REV, the HOTCUE do not respond !!
Just Do it! please...
press slip, release slip (slip on mode)
press rev and release rev (rev mode and release mode on forward)
The song sounds normal and the SLIP mode is still activated.
Now the hot cue buttons do not work
and the song is playing in the right direction, but the HOT CUE is blocked.
Please read carefully, if you are not able to understand me, you would have to upload a video of the error. Google translations may not be very correct and sometimes it is misinterpreted
You didn't clarify if the deck is in REVERSE or only CENSOR mode.
Update to 1.35
I usually have 3-6 hotcues on my tracks
Ive tried every button and mashed them like crazy. I haven't had any issue!
Turn of the QUANTIZE and it works perfect for buttonmash
Why would you slipmode and press the rev longer then a couple of seconds anyway?
But i can not scratch in vinymode at the same time slip is engaged and beatjumping with the pads pressed down
Seem like a memory issue! (Hardware related)
"If I do these 8 things that nobody will ever do, it fails."
"Well then don't do those 8 things."
Listen, I get it - there may well be a bug in there, but likewise, if you push any product beyond the intended use design, that can/will happen. You're the first to report this, possibly because you're the first to try it, and potentially the only one who has and ever will. Because of the rarity, I would go so far as to say it's unlikely that the engineering team would assign the resources to hunt it down and squash it as the cost to return ratio is likely too high to justify fixing it.
Hi Pioneer,
I recently bought an RX2 and have the same issue. After turning slip mode on and pressing reverse, the hot cues stop working. It would be great if this could be looked at.
+1. I am having this issue as well. Now it is at least THREE users who have reported it, not just one.
Furthermore, Ren3martin is correct. It is a simple TWO-step process, not an eight-step process, and IT IS A DOCUMENTED FEATURE. It specifically described in the manual, as "Slip reverse" on page 19 of the 2017 <DRI1479-A> version of the manual. Slip reverse is the only straightforward way to censor a word in a song, and engaging this useful documented feature disables all hot cues on that deck until the unit is power cycled. This is a serious system fault.
Pulse: The Pulse response of <May 28, 2019 11:57> severely breaches the usual professional and polite demeanor maintained by the Pulse staff. Please (a) bump this response up for review by Pulse management to consider this Pulse staff member's continued involvement with the forum and (b) issue a polite apology to Ren3martin. Ren3martin did a lot of work assisting Pioneer in identifying that a specified feature in the system causes a system crash. This Pulse representative cavalierly dismissed Ren3martin's dedicated assistance with "there may well be a bug in there", 'if it doesn't work, then just don't use that feature', and "the cost to return ratio is likely too high to justify fixing it".
This is severely out-of-step with a professional technical response to a bona fide report of a system fault. Thank you for your consideration.
@Anthony > Apparently the sense of humour unit in your XDJ-RX2 isn't working - we'll be happy to service it for you in the least cavalier method possible.
And for your consideration, our engineering team is investigating this issue and would like to thank all three of you for bringing it to their attention.
@Anthony Hornof Thanks
Thank you for your contribution, it seems that you and I do not have the "humor" necessary to understand some people, no matter, we are DJs, not cheap humorists.
We will not talk more than everyone sees.
The important thing is that they work with our contributions, 1 or 100 engineers, so that they at least listen and read carefully with the seriousness that Pionner DJ deserves and the respect that we deserve the DJs that buy their products.
Surely it is often difficult to explain a problem to someone who does not speak your language through a translator ... but I advise everyone to look beyond the comment and understand that there may be some reason in each comment and that sometimes they are failures of not knowing how to use the equipment or not knowing its full potential but other times as in this case and others that I have denounced without being understood, they can be Pioneer's mistake, which must be identified, to be solved.
Thanks and best regards
After the last comment, I never intended to write or waste my time in the forum, but I learned that we should all talk and look further until we understand who is speaking to us.
