Please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired.
Last couple of DJ sets I've noticed my system is sending random volume spikes to the PA I'm plugged into.
I've tried using both XLR's and RCA's and it's happening with both inputs.
It's happening fairly regularly as well. Over the course of a 3-5 hour set, it will occur 1 or 2 times an hour.
Any help on how to fix this asap would be greatly appreciated.

hi!
I’m experiencing similar issue. what happens if you poke the volume knob or even the panel of volume knobs?
I think it is issue with grounding but I didn’t find the reason of it. At one point i opened the unit and found the screen cable not being clamped correctly, but now it repeats again.
I will send my unit to Pioneer service centre or trade in for XDJ RX 2
Yooooo!
I haven't noticed it happening when touching any of the knobs unfortunately.
My unit is out of warranty so I have taken it to a licensed pioneer repairer so they can have a look at the issue.
Will let you know what they come back with.
When did you send them the unit and to which Service Centre?
I'm trying to asses how long the repair will take as I don't want to loose profits from gigs!
I have opened the unit and now the sound just drops and I have to touch the Master Volume knob for it to re-appear, but earlier it was worse. See the video: https://youtu.be/ef9zmCPsNio
I sent them the unit today and they said it could take a few days for them to get back to me on what the issue could be. I'm in Australia btw
That's really bad if you can literally tap the unit and the volume drops out. def sounds like a loose connector/wire/cable somewhere inside the unit possibly?
With my controller - every now and again there would be a massive increase in volume over the PA to the point people would be holding their hands over their ears and would last for up to 3-5 seconds.
Like you, I use this unit every weekend and need it fixed asap as well!
I'm in the UK.
I have opened the unit and there was a loose screen cable. Now when I tap it is not happening like on the video, but the volume drops. It doesn't go up, just drops.
Before I had the same issue with volume going up but it was humming noise rather then sound. Same issue with people covering their ears. Very embarrassing for a DJ.
I have replaced myself the JACK OUTPUT ASSY PCB DWX3616 and for a while it worked ok but the volume is dropping.
I'm considering option like buying XDJ-RX 2, repairing my old one and when fixed selling it on ebay.
Do you by any chance use USB port for charging your iphone?
I was doing that at a gig and at the same time connected iphone via mini-jack to Line IN to play a tune from youtube and the volume started dropping at that night after that.
most of the service centres in the UK are telling me it will be 3-4 weeks turnaround for diagnosis/repair!
@freeballs any news on the diagnosis? it would really help me fixing my gear
Yooooo,
Sorry for the late reply here but I finally heard back that the PNL 2 circuit board was damaged and needed to be replace.
Cost me $400aud to repair
Hey mate, where did you get it fixed from? Mine has a similiar problem. I am in Brisbane.
Thanks
Great post, mine has been happening now for some time. Does anyone know the exact name of the part I can order?
don’t order any parts. i did replace one part (the OUPUT) and it didn’t fix. send to pioneer to let them solder what is required
