Step forward RB6 but step backwards for user

I find it shity thats with RB6 you must pay now, thats you can connect  RB6 Performace Mode with CDjs and Mixers.

That was a standard function for everyone by RB5. If you pay a cheap rb hardware, ok I understand this step, but what is with DJs who bought hardware for 800 or more Euro and cant use this standard function what is by RB5 standard.

Thats not fair in case who bought expensive hardware, but you can use the same software function if you bought DDJ-400...

Yes the software is a step forward, but for the user is this a step backwards...

So please so kind Pioneer, make this function for user who bought hardware from 600€ and higher, thats possible, thats we can connect RB with Laptop to the CDjs and Mixers, like in RB5.

I think I speak for a lot of DJs in this case.

@Tim > If you had a rekordbox 5 license key included for free with the hardware, you're able to use those same functions in rekordbox 6 for free as well. Nothing changes there.

CDJ-2000NXS2's never came with a license, nor did DJM-900NXS2's, so they are only eligible to use rekordbox 6 with a plan - same way they were with rekordbox 5. The reason those units never shipped with one is they're not intended as controllers, thus the expected use for rekordbox is to prepare and export your music to a USB drive, or link to them.

A DDJ-400, however, is useless without performance mode.

The OP has a very good point. i have a RZX, RX, DDJ1000, CDJ2000nxs2's AND a DJM Tour1! yet, RB 6 doesnt let me use my CDJ's???

Have you tried exporting 200GB+ of tracks onto a stick?

Generally, i will use a controller, but for times when i need to travel light, and the destination has a pair of CDJ's id like to simply take my laptop, with all the tracks inside. unless i can simply pay for one month at a time, for those events, then this subscription method sucks.

You dont understood my opinion...

Now you must buy (Core) to connect macbook (RB6) with CDJs and Mixers (USB).

With RB5 was this possible for free, with my Licence what I got with the DDJ800.

I was playing with my RB5 Software on CDJs in clubs...

And this disturbs a lot of DJs...

This function must be back for all...

Thats we can use CDJs and Mixer without paying in RB6, like in RB5 in performance mode.

You will make the most DJs happy, when this function comeback for free,

Many are disappointed with your new policy. Many bought Rekordbox like this and then threw away the money, since RB5 is now free ... Very big of you ... I bought the DDJ 800 a few months ago and to use RB for this cdjs in performance mode.
If you spend so much money, you should also get some functions included, such as connecting CDJS with RB6. Believe me, a lot of DJs give very negative feedback in various facebook groups.

The only what we Djs wish, thats we can use Standard CDJs and mixers what we can use in RB6 like in RB5. Thats all...!!!

So thats RB6 works only with the bought controller and with all compatible CDJs and Mixers (no other controller)

Its a big downgrade who bought hardware for a not cheap price.

Because the setup in clubs has CDjs and DJM... My DDJ800 is for home using and a lot of other djs make it same...

Listen what the user wishes... I am not the only one...

I understand what you're saying -- but that was under the license unlocking the software, now the hardware unlocks the software.

Sorry, the operation of rekordbox 6 is the same as Serato; the hardware unlocks the software. If you want other hardware to also use on that software which doesn't come with the unlock, you have to pay for that opportunity.

If you bought a DDJ-800 to use rekordbox, that's still free and works as it always did.

If you never purchased a DDJ and wanted to use your CDJs as controllers with rekordbox (why for the love of Carl Cox would you even want to do that!?), you would have to make a purchase, regardless of the version.

The only thing that's changed is that you can't use a DDJ and unlock it for use with the CDJs; what was once a license to unlock the software for any hardware now requires a subscription for those functions.

I'm sorry that this is a negative to you.

Let me rephrase... why do you want to use your computer with CDJs and a DJM? Why not prepare a USB drive and mix from the hardware?

Please take the wishes of the users to your heart...
Because the other DJ software producers will look at you and attack the reviews with nice features... Many will not take part in your new policy... I am only one of them...

Sorry, there is no one-time-purchase option available, but you can subscribe for it monthly as needed.

"Have you tried exporting 200GB+ of tracks onto a stick?"

Yes, I carry over 500GB on a Samsung T5 SSD.

I am more flexible with my laptop... more tracks to choose... USB drive has not so much space for my 14.000 tracks, like my mac...

If Pioneer stay on his new politic, their will lost a lot of users...

The other dj software producers dont sleep...

Do a survey on the new pricing policy and you will get the feedback I have already described.
