@Marin > Start with an empty library, then open the preferences and select the external drive. It's just that rekordbox doesn't know to look on the external drive for your database yet.

Converting library RB6
Another RB6 issue.
I have created an RB6 database on an external hard drive on my desktop computer. Moved external drive to laptop. Started up laptop. Now being prompted to convert my RB5 to work on RB6. It has never been a RB5 library. Why is it prompting me to do this? What should I select; “convert” (which just seems to hang), “empty library” (which seems wrong”?

I only had the option of “convert”, “empty” or “close”. Prior to receiving your response selected the other option “convert”. It took its time (~2 days), but appears to now be a functioning RB6 database. 1 track wouldn’t analyse of 34,287.
