No output from microphone on XDJ-XZ

HELP PLEASE.

XDJ-XZ : I cant get any response from my microphone when its plugged in.

Is it something simple IM missing?

Can anyone run me through it from Type of mic lead connection to output setup?

I may be thick

Hi Simon,

Is this a problem with the mic outputting to the speakers or into software?

What kind of mic are you using and what kind of cable are you using to connect to the XZ?

I have now used 2 different types of cable so I'm thinking it could be the Mic.

Is there a setting in the menu that turns the mic on or off that I might not be seeing?

Are you using a condenser mic or a dynamic mic? If condenser, you need 48V phantom power for it, which the XZ doesn't provide.

There are settings, but mainly for "does the mic get sent to the booth output / recording output," but it sounds like you're having troubles getting signal to the master.
