Unable to open the database file

I've recently upgraded my rekordbox to the most latest version (6.5.2). After deleting all rekordbox files I installed the software off the site. However after opening the application and selecting the option to 'start rekordbox with an empty library' rekordbox comes up with a pop-up screen - 'Unable to open the database. Exit rekordbox', rekordbox then states 'Do you want to restore library using the backup Master Database?' after selecting 'Yes', rekordbox quits itself. After opening it again the whole process restarts.
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated
